My name is Maya Winkel and I am a runner fueled by confidence, the confidence and power I get from running makes me come back every time, even for hard workouts.

I am running with TAOS because as a surviver of sexual assault myself I know how hard it can be to bounce back and find your true self again; for me running brought back my spark and I KNOW I am not alone in that. I am running for all the survivors who may not feel ready to come forward yet, the survivors who are struggling to find their place in life again, and most importantly I am running to end the stigma behind sexual assault in sports.

You are never alone, and that is why my motto for this training cycle and moment in my life is always keep moving.
