This memorial fund is dedicated to Karen L. Peterson. Karen was an educator and leader of the highest quality. She began her career as a special education teacher in Plattville and Waukesha. Karen then served as a coordinator of elementary special education for 20+ years, and a director of elementary special education for 6 years.
Karen's impact on the students, staff, and administrators that she worked with had a profound influence on student outcomes and professional careers. Karen always had time for a colleague and worked tirelessly to ensure that students’ needs were being met.
Karen’s generous and loyal spirit, as well as her integrity and nobility will be fondly remembered. Karey was our example of unwavering values; all who knew her depended on her guidance and wisdom.
