Shabbat on the Green with Pastor Jobst Bittner

As America celebrates 250 years of independence, we are reminded that freedom is not sustained by celebration alone. It is preserved when people choose courage over silence.

Today, as antisemitism rises around the world, the lessons of history carry renewed urgency. During the Holocaust, many remained silent, but others chose to act. Upstanders risked everything to protect Jewish lives, proving that even in the darkest moments, individual courage matters.

Join us Friday, August 7, at Kings Harbor Green, near the Holocaust Garden of Hope.

Christians from across our community will gather to worship the God of Israel, pray for the peace of Jerusalem, pray for America to stand for righteousness, and publicly reject the growing hatred directed toward Israel and the Jewish people.

• 5-6 PM - Garden Tours
• 6-7 PM Shabbat Service on the Green (Make sure to bring a comfy chair!)
• 7-8:30 PM Prayer, Praise & Solidarity worshiping the God of Israel, Praying for the Peace of Jerusalem, Standing for Righteousness against hatred.

Join us for this event with Special Guest, Reverend Jobst Bittner from Germany, in association with Somebody Cares America & Dr. Doug Stringer, Inspire Church Houston & Dr. Andrew Heard.

This is more than an event, it is a call to stand. Every generation faces a choice between silence and courage. This is our opportunity to choose courage, to become today’s Upstanders. Freedom is never preserved by silence.
