About This Event
Come join the Carolina Thread Trail for a stunning sunset paddle on the Catawba River blueway paddling trail to celebrate National Trails Day! This paddle is made possible by Riverside Paddle & Row, who will be supplying single or tandem sit on top kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and headlamps. The group will take an approximately 2-mile leisurely paddle down the Catawba River as they soak in the views and learn about the latest happenings with the Thread Trail. The paddle will finish right after sunset. Feel free to bring your own headlamp and/or life jacket if you prefer.
This is a paddle oriented for beginners, and no prior paddling experience is required. All participants must be comfortable on the water and able to swim. Life jackets must be worn at all times. Children 12 and under must be in a tandem kayak with an adult. If you prefer to use a tandem kayak for you and your guest over 12 years of age, please let Ashton Lamb know.
