Presented by Nehemiah Center for Urban Leadership Development

Black Film Festival presented by Justified Anger: Courses

About This Event

Nehemiah and Justified Anger: Courses are proud to present the 4th annual Black Film Festival. Celebrating Black joy, resilience, art, education, and culture, these films will challenge you to observe without centering whiteness. We hope you join us with an open heart and a ready mind. These are Black voices. Hear our truth.

First and foremost, FUBU! If you know you know. This Black Film Festival centers Blackness in all its forms in film, tv, and other media. The film screenings will range from detailed historical topics to nostalgic family films. The Festival will also feature short discussion sessions and a panel discussion with the filmmakers. It is also an opportunity for understanding, empathy, and let's be honest a little nostalgia. We have built this space for education and discussion, however, not every place is meant for addressing ignorance. This space is for listening, learning, and enjoying culture that runs deep.
