Neill-Cochran House Museum Book Club: Saints of God Murders

About This Event

Next up from the NCHM Book Club: The Saints of God Murders by Charles Meyer.

Our next book is a fun (well, it’s a murder but it’s still fun) romp through an Austin many of us wish had stuck around a bit longer. Charles Meyer, long-time chaplain of St. David’s Hospital, penned this love letter to the city back in 1995. Wander 6th Street, enjoy a late-night beer at Mother’s, and drive up Mount Bonnell with us! This is a good read whether you are from or have spent a lot of time in Austin or not, but it will definitely tug at your heartstrings if you love the city like Meyer did.

Tracking down a copy of the book may be a bit challenging. Amazon and Alibris both have a few used copies available, as does Half Price Books. Book People is not selling it. So, don’t delay looking for a copy!

Join us in person on January 13th at 10:30AM to discuss The Saints of God Murders, with lunch following the conversation. For those unable to join us in person, we will have a zoom conversation on the afternoon of January 15th at 2:00PM.
