Through the eyes of Jessie Lovelace, an accomplished stunt pilot and teacher, we witness the culture clash when the Royal Air Force takes up residence in North Texas in 1941 (not to mention some American chauvinism).
What was it like for Texans to live alongside British airmen training for a war the United States was trying desperately to avoid? What was it like for the British to learn about the US through small town Texas?
