Join the Sargeant Museum for the opening of a new exhibit featuring the archives of The Central Virginian, a staple of local journalism that has chronicled life in Louisa for over a century. This series features the perspective of past editors, staff, and employees at the paper highlighting how the newspaper shaped public discourse, and reflected the adapting social and technological advancements of the county over time. Through the exploration of periods in its life, participants will learn the newspaper's history but also the broader role of local media in preserving community identity and promoting civic engagement. Journey with us through time, as we reflect on the stories behind the stories that have defined our community.
