Just days before the New Year, eight puppies were dumped and left to fend for themselves. Only five survived. They’ve begun wet food but need continued care to thrive.

We’re also caring for Dewey, a dog who is skin and bones with a serious gastric hernia. Dewey’s condition requires careful stabilization and monitoring before surgery can safely take place. Our veterinary team is focused on helping him gain weight and strength so he can withstand a complex procedure and recover successfully.

Your donation helps provide immediate, lifesaving care:

• $50 covers food and basic supplies

• $100 supports veterinary exams and medications

• $250 funds critical medical care for Dewey or one puppy

Early intervention makes the difference between life and death for these animals—and your gift provides that vital support.

Because of supporters like you, more than 2,000 animals found loving homes through Texas Humane Heroes in 2025. Your continued support ensures that Dewey and these puppies get the second chance they deserve.
