Panelist Bios:
Cat Stewart has served as the Screenwriting Competition Manager at the Nashville Film Festival since 2019 where she is actively working to change the potential for competition scripts to be an entry point for writers using her industry connections gained from working as a reader for various production companies and most recently the story department at Web3 studio, The Feature. She still works as a writer for hire.
Faith McQuinn is a Tennessee-based writer, editor, and audio drama creator. She holds a bachelor's in Creative Writing and an MFA in Film Production, and spent 10 years in higher education teaching screenwriting and directing. After years of helping others tell their stories, she decided it was time to get back to telling her own and founded Observer Pictures in 2015. Through Observer Pictures, Faith has produced award-winning short films and fiction podcast series. Her audio work has been featured in The New York Times, Flare Magazine, and the BBC's Podcast Radio Hour.

Steven Womack
Edgar and Shamus Award-winning author Steven Womack created the groundbreaking Music City Murders series, the first series to put Nashville on the map as a mystery setting. He is also the author of a number of other novels, including the New York Times Notable Book Murphy’s Fault. A screenwriter and member of the Writers Guild of America as well, he co-wrote the ABC-TV movie Volcano: Fire On The Mountain. Womack was also a founding faculty member of Tennessee’s first film school, the Watkins Film School, and anchored the screenwriting program there for twenty-five years—five of them as department Chair—until the college closed in 2025.
He writes a monthly column for Killer Nashville Magazine called This Crazy Writing Life.
