The NFTS Angel Wing Project is a two-piece traveling public art display, handcrafted from wood and painted in vibrant color. Each custom wing feather is personalized with an angel’s name, creating a breathtaking display of remembrance and love.
This project began as a vision from Angel Ambassadors and proud angel moms Lindsay Crowley Felty and Amy Pope, who dreamed of a “larger-than-life” set of wings that would both celebrate angels and unite families of loss. Loss dads Chas Pope and Stan Coleman built the wings with extraordinary care, and artist Rebeckah Regennitter, then just 15 years old, spent more than 200 hours painting them with stunning detail and sensitivity.
The first Angel Wing set was unveiled in Des Moines at the Wave of Light ceremony on October 15, 2020, and today, two sets travel across Iowa, with a third set in development. The wings have become a source of comfort, connection, and strength for hundreds of families.
