Night of Vonnegut returns November 7, 2026! Join the Kurt Vonnegut Museum & Library for our signature annual fundraising gala held on Vonnegut’s birthday weekend, honoring his life, ideas, humor, and enduring legacy. This year’s celebration will feature Jordan Klepper, recipient of the 2026 Kurt Vonnegut Humor Award.
Guests will gather for an evening rooted in literature, comedy, civic dialogue, free expression, and common decency. Funds raised at the Gala will support KVML’s exhibitions, education programs for youth and veterans, tours, and other efforts to keep Vonnegut’s ideas alive for future generations.

Jordan Klepper is best known as a host and correspondent for The Daily show and his Emmy-winning Comedy Central specials. From covering the gun safety debate (Jordan Kleeper Solves Guns) to his docuseries on the world of activisim (Klepper), Jordan has witnessed an insurrection, capsized a boat with pipeline protestors, interviews a President, and been locked-up in Futon County Jail. He also travels the globe with his segment "fingers The Pulse," which has racked up hundreds of millions of views. His work has garnerd him a Walter Cronkite Aware for Excellence in TV Political Journalism , and he has had essays featured on CBS Monring and The Boston Globe. In addition to his work on The Daily Show, Jordan was executive producer and host of the Comedy Central series, The Opposition w/Jordan Klepper and Klepper. In 2025, his special, "MAGA: The Next Generation," won the Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Nonfiction Program.
