Are You Ready for a Capital Campaign? And Do You Really Need One?

About This Event

Launching a capital campaign is a major milestone—and not one to stumble into unprepared. In this three-hour workshop, nonprofit leaders will explore the key ingredients of a successful capital campaign, assess their organization’s readiness, and clarify whether now is the right time to pursue one. Together, we’ll break down the difference between a capital project and a capital campaign, what makes a strong capital campaign, what funders and donors expect, and what internal systems must be in place before a campaign begins. Participants will walk away with clarity, practical next steps, and a grounded understanding of what it takes to move from idea to investment.

You’ll Walk Away With:

  • A Campaign Readiness Snapshot: Understand the essential components of capital campaign readiness, including leadership, case for support, fundraising history, and donor relationships.
  • Project Prioritization + Feasibility Tools: Learn how to identify which capital projects are viable, compelling, and aligned with donor interest and community need.
  • A Practical Next-Step Roadmap: Leave with concrete recommendations tailored to your organization, whether you’re months away, years away, or already halfway there.

Who Should Attend: Nonprofit staff and board members dreaming about a capital campaign. This training will help with both traditional capital campaigns (to build or renovate a facility, pay off a mortgage, or establish an endowment) and smaller-scale capital project campaigns designed to meet specific capital needs.

Cost:
