About This Event
This beginner-level, hands-on workshop is designed to build practical grantwriting capacity for nonprofit organizations. Participants will gain the tools, frameworks, and confidence needed to approach grant writing strategically—from readiness and research to crafting clear, compelling proposals that resonate with funders.
Offered in partnership with Sourcewell, this intensive training walks aspiring grant writers through the full lifecycle of a grant, with real-world guidance they can apply immediately.
Participants will leave this workshop able to:
- assess whether their organization is ready to pursue grant funding
- identify and evaluate appropriate grant opportunities
- understand what funders look for in strong grant applications
- navigate the key components of a grant proposal
- write proposal sections that tell a clear, coherent, and compelling story
Grant writing can feel overwhelming—especially if you’re new to it. This workshop demystifies the process and replaces guesswork with practical skills, funder insight, and hands-on practice. Attendees walk away with greater confidence, clearer direction, and a stronger foundation for pursuing grant funding successfully.

- Location: Initiative Foundation, 405 1st St SE, Little Falls, MN 56345
