About This Event
Executive directors of nonprofit organizations wear many hats as part of overseeing the organization and advancing the mission: fiscal oversight, board relations, strategic planning, organizational operations, staff and volunteer management and succession planning. Effective succession planning enables nonprofit leadership to identify critical dimensions for continuity. Planning, communication, and coordination all positively influence a successful transition of both organization and board leadership. This training with Julie Pelzl is geared toward nonprofit leaders and board members.
Attendees will:
- Identify key activities for an effective succession planning process.
- Apply session themes and discuss participants’ current nonprofit situations.
- Learn from each other through facilitated group discussion.
- Strengthen alignment of current nonprofit executive and board leadership.
