About This Event

2025 Ocular Inflammatory Disease Crash Course Conference
Saturday, November 15, 2025 Puerto Rico

Registration starts at 7:30AM AST
Course from 8:00AM - 3:00PM AST

The Ocular Inflammatory Disease Crash Course in Puerto Rico is intended for ophthalmologists (comprehensive, uveitis, retina, cornea, glaucoma, oculoplastic specialists) pediatricians, rheumatologists, patients and caregivers involved in the care of individuals with uveitis and ocular inflammatory diseases.

Registration includes breakfast and lunch; and FREE of charge for residents, fellows, patients, and caregivers.

The aim of the conference is to highlight how specialists in the field recognize and manage various prominent forms of ocular inflammatory disease and provide a setting for discussion for ophthalmologists, pediatricians, rheumatologists, patients and caregivers. Prevention of complications from disease has become the focus of modern medicine, and leads to better outcomes in patients, especially in ophthalmology. Many ocular diseases eventually lead to blindness, but some vision loss can be avoided by timely presentation to and management by a well-trained physician/ophthalmologist and informed patient and or caregiver, awareness and recognition of these diseases when they present, as well as the implementation of early steps in treatment or prompt referral, is critical to minimizing or preventing permanent complications from ocular Inflammatory disease.

Since 2019, we have held “Ocular Inflammatory Disease Crash Courses” in different parts of the country and featured speakers that practice in the area.
