Help Us Make A Neighborhood (HUMAN) Conference Overview

The HUMAN Conference convenes students, educators, civic leaders, public servants, community organizers, nonprofit partners, healthcare professionals, and regional changemakers to strengthen belonging, fortify identity, and build communities capable of thriving through challenge and change.

On May 22, 2026, Olympic College will host HUMAN as a one-day immersive regional gathering designed to move beyond conversation into action. Through guided practice labs, keynotes, and cross-sector dialogue, participants will explore how identity, resilience, and shared responsibility shape healthier workplaces, campuses, and neighborhoods.

HUMAN centers a simple but powerful idea: who you are is not defined by what you are experiencing. The conference creates space to reflect, repair, and recommit to the relationships and systems that sustain community well-being.

As HUMAN grows, the vision extends beyond a single event. The conference serves as a catalyst for ongoing collaboration through community learning opportunities, leadership development, public conversations, and partnerships that deepen connection across Kitsap County and beyond.

Participants will:

  • Connect with leaders and neighbors working across education, government, healthcare, nonprofit, and community spaces.
  • Learn through dynamic keynotes and implementation-focused guided practice sessions grounded in lived experience and practical application.
  • Strengthen their ability to lead through uncertainty with tools, accountability commitments, and cross-sector relationships that continue beyond the conference.

Whether you are navigating personal transition, leading organizational change, supporting students, or strengthening community systems, HUMAN offers space for reflection, restoration, and meaningful action. Join a growing movement where belonging is practiced, resilience is shared, and community transformation becomes a collective responsibility.
