Wet Wood Wonders: Slime Search Party 

The hidden world of slime molds and fungi reveals itself most after the rain. Join us for a group walk into the colorful world of fruiting bodies, strange blobs, shelf fungi, and other ephemeral organisms. Bring your curiosity and a sense of wonder. A macro lens for your camera and phone are optional and recommended.

What will we discover together? 

This program will be held on natural surface trails, limestone trails, and pavement surfaces.  

This event is pay-what-you-can, with a suggested contribution of $5 per person.

Overton Park Conservancy is the nonprofit organization that has been caring for Memphis’s central green space since 2012. With the generous support of our community, we work each day to make the park a beautiful and welcoming place for all Memphians, as well as a valuable source of urban habitat for wildlife.
