About This Event
Join us for a Kid’s Nature Journaling session at Overton Park with Caroline Schratz!
This session invites 3rd to 5th graders to explore the wonders of nature while developing their observation and artistic skills. Participants will learn to document the wild wonders of the Old Forest through sketches and notes. This hands-on, creative activity is perfect for sparking curiosity and connecting with nature!
We’ll provide supplies, but kids are welcome to bring their own notebooks and favorite coloring pencils or markers. We can't wait to see what you'll discover!
Registration opens two weeks in advance. Please select a ticket type, and use the donation button if you would like to make a gift to support the Conservancy’s work.
Caroline Schratz is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider and the founder of Integrative Wellness 901. Her work centers around a holistic, trauma-informed approach that prioritizes nervous system regulation and the healing power of nature. Certified in EMDR and mindfulness-based ecotherapy, Caroline integrates evidence-based therapy with somatic practices, trauma-informed yoga, and nature connection to support trauma recovery and resilience. She hosts women’s wellness retreats and outdoor workshops designed to create safe, restorative spaces for healing and growth.

Overton Park Conservancy is the nonprofit organization that has been caring for Memphis’s central green space since 2012. With the generous support of our community, we work each day to make the park a beautiful and welcoming place for all Memphians, as well as a valuable source of urban habitat for wildlife.
The Conservancy must raise roughly 90% of our budget each year from people like you who care about the many things Overton Park has to offer. A gift of any amount helps us maintain and improve the park.
