About This Event
Sowing Seeds Together is a hands-on, community-centered workshop designed to empower you to become an urban gardener. Hosted by Everbloom Farmacy with special guest Dana Sanders from Rewild Memphis at the Overton Park Greenhouse, this experience will equip you with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to grow your own food and nourish your well-being.
During the workshop, you can expect:
-
Starter seedlings of seasonal vegetables and herbs to take home (generously donated by Urban Earth)
-
Training in both the theory and practice of growing from seed
-
Insight into the powerful connection between diet and health
-
Well-being activities including movement, meditation, and breathwork
By the end of the workshop, you’ll become an Everbloom Grow Partner, joining a growing movement dedicated to local, urban food production. Grow Partners are the foundation of Everbloom’s innovative approach to food security—working together to increase access to healthy, sustainably grown food in our communities.
This program will be held on natural surfaces, gravel, and pavement surfaces. We encourage comfortable closed toe shoes.
By registering and attending this event, you agree to our Waiver and Release Agreement.
This event is free but space is limited, so registration is required. Please select a free ticket, and use the donation button if you would like to make a gift to support Overton Park Conservancy’s work to host programs like this one and to care for the park. If all available tickets are "sold out," the program is full.
Please note that donations made after the program has sold out are considered contributions to Overton Park Conservancy rather than tickets to the event, and you will not be included on the attendee list. Overton Park Conservancy is the nonprofit organization that has been caring for Memphis’s central green space since 2012. With the generous support of our community, we work each day to make the park a beautiful and welcoming place for all Memphians, as well as a valuable source of urban habitat for wildlife.
The Conservancy must raise roughly 90% of our budget each year from people like you who care about the many things Overton Park has to offer. A gift of any amount helps us maintain and improve the park.
