Join us for a special opera concert in honor of Italian Heritage Month and in connection with the exhibition Mangia! The Evolution of Italian Food in the United States and in collaboration with Opera Italia.
What happens when opera meets the dinner table? Join us for a lively and delicious musical journey where food, wine, love, and passion take center stage!
Featuring beloved selections from the operatic repertoire, including “Libiamo” from Verdi’s La Traviata, Donizetti’s playful drinking song “Mesci, Mesci” from Il Campanello, and the charming Shepherds’ Chorus from Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors, celebrating the Mediterranean foods brought to the Three Kings.
The program will also feature comic and dramatic character arias, bringing to life some of opera’s most memorable personalities. Through familiar melodies, humor, and stories, discover how food and music can express celebration, desire, love, and humor.
