About This Event
9th NCL Translational Science and Therapeutics Conference
November 11–13, 2026 | Boston, Massachusetts
The Our Promise to Nicholas Foundation is proud to host the 9th NCL Translational Science and Therapeutics Conference, taking place November 11–13, 2026, in Boston, Massachusetts. This year marks an exciting milestone as the conference moves to Boston for the first time, following many successful years in Chicago.
This highly collaborative meeting brings together scientists, clinicians, industry partners, and patient advocacy organizations from around the world, all focused on advancing translational research, clinical care, and therapeutic development for Batten disease. The conference also welcomes researchers from outside the Batten disease field whose expertise in emerging technologies and disease biology can help spark innovation and accelerate progress.
The scientific program is led by Dr. Jill Weimer and her team at Sanford Research, whose longstanding leadership has helped shape this meeting into one of the premier gatherings in the NCL community.
Over the years, this meeting has become known for fostering meaningful collaboration, sharing new discoveries, and building momentum toward treatments and cures for individuals living with Batten disease.
We are honored to support both the scientific vision and the logistical coordination of this important gathering, and to help bring together a dedicated community committed to improving outcomes for families affected by Batten disease.
