About This Event
Join Us for the 12th Annual Nicholas Holiday Giving Tree Project
We are excited to launch our 12th Nicholas Holiday Giving Tree Project, sending priority USPS care packages to families affected by Batten disease.
These children are living with a fatal neurodegenerative brain disease, and some families care for more than one child with this diagnosis.
Each priority-mail box is about the size of a shoe box and filled with thoughtful, practical items families can use every day—both at home and during hospital visits. We include small items so we can fit as much comfort and cheer as possible, such as:
-
Some items included are: Travel-size toiletries, liquid hand soaps, toothbrushes, toothpaste, unscented body lotions for sensative skin, body wash, wash clothes, chapstick,
-
Over-the-counter essentials for children such as children’s Tylenol, Advil or cold medications, laxatives
-
New Cozy bed sheets or New pajamas
-
Holiday candy, festive personal ornaments and holiday cards
-
Gift cards families can use for necessities—or even a simple cup of coffee. Gift cards are most requested so families can purchase what they need for their child.
