2025 Featured Champion - Katharine Berkoff (2026 Champion Announced Soon!)

Meet Katharine Berkoff, an extraordinary talent in the world of competitive swimming who proudly represents the United States on the international stage. As a 2024 Olympian and NCAA Champion, Katharine has established herself as a force to be reckoned with, earning an impressive 25 All-American titles during her time at NC State.

The daughter of Olympic gold medalist David Berkoff, she has swimming in her blood and has carved out her own path with remarkable achievements. In the spotlight of recruiting, she was ranked #3 on SwimSwam’s Top 20 NCAA Recruits Class of 2019, leading her class in both the 100 backstroke with a time of 51.93 seconds and the 200 backstroke at 1:51.40.

Katharine's commitment to swim for NC State in November 2018 marked the beginning of an exciting chapter in her already impressive career, and we can’t wait to see what she accomplishes in the years to come. Join us in celebrating Katharine Berkoff, a true champion and inspiration!

NKB Information

purple_nkb_logo_-_final_jpg-1758907191.jpgThe world needs more kindness, more people who think of others before themselves, more smiles, more people that see the bright side of things, and more giving. Natalie Kate Bolin (NKB) is a former OSHY swimmer who tragically lost her life when she was in high school. Since her passing the OSHY Swim Team has tried to make the world a better place by sharing her spirit with others. Natalie befriended all, smiled at everyone, took time to listen, gave of her time, and found the bright side of life. Natalie's mantra, "I know the sun will rise," is a reminder of all the good in the world, the good in people, and the good in life.

Please join us on Friday, November 20th for a FREE PASTA DINNER to celebrate what NKB stands for. Registration is required and can be done at the top of the page. This free meal is open to ALL swimmers AND their families. Dinner will be served in the WEST HALF of the gym.

We are excited to bring back the NKB Challenge to the OSHY Champion Meet this year! ALL SWIMMERS who complete all 4 challenges throughout the meet will receive a FREE NKB SWIM CAP, T-SHIRT, OR LIP BALM. Pick up a CHALLENGE CARD at the Awards Table, Greeter, or in the Concession Area. Completed cards can be turned in to the Greeter at the Main Entrance to receive your PRIZE.

CHALLENGE #1 - BE GENEROUS | Bring a non-perishable food item for our Thanksgiving Food Drive. Food items can also be dropped off with the Greeter at the Main Entrance.

CHALLENGE #2 - BE GRATEFUL | MPR #1 available (Duck Pond) Write a thank you postcard to a coach, parent, or someone important in your life. In order to complete the challenge you must have a full address - the Y will mail the cards out at the end of the meet! Swimmers can take their card with them to finish and turn back in at the duck pond when complete (with full address) to receive their stamp and tattoo.

CHALLENGE #3 - BE KIND | MPR #2 (Awards Table) Recognize someone for their kindness on a "link" and we will add it to our kindness chain!

CHALLENGE #4 - BE POSITIVE | Pool Deck (by the whirlpool) Always try to find the good in people! Complete the NKB Challenge by creating a "Shout-Out Sun" to share a postive message, phrase, or word. Write your message on the sun and tape it to the wall to spread POSITIVE VIBES.
