About This Event
Join us in honoring artist Mollie Rabiner as she unveils Bird Calls, her wind phone sculpture commissioned by Josephine Sculpture Park! Mollie will share a few words about creating the sculpture, then you will have the opportunity to use the wind phone. We will also celebrate JSP's partners in this project, including the Kentucky Center for Grieving Children and Families, South Arts, Kentucky Arts Council, Bluegrass Care Navigators, and The Light Clinic.
The wind phone is a powerful place of remembrance and healing for community members to speak to loved ones they have lost through the hand-carved wooden phone, letting the wind carry their messages.
Refreshments provided.
JSP’s Wellness in the Wild program strengthens community health through outdoor movement, the arts, and connection. The wind phone project is in partnership with the Kentucky Center for Grieving Children & Families and is supported by grants from South Arts and Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, which is supported by state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.

By registering, you consent that JSP can record and use your photograph, voice, or other likeness in promotional and archival materials.
