About This Event

Every other year, The Arc Caddo-Bossier’s GREAT Equine Assisted Services hosts The GREAT 5K & Paddlefest, an event with live music, a post race party, drinks, and food provided by Ki’ Mexico. This event supports our GREAT Equine Assisted Services where we offer equine assisted services for children and adults with disabilities.

The GREAT 5K & Paddlefest will be October 3, 2026 starting at 8:00 AM at Fox Creek Farms.

Since 1997 equine assisted services at GREAT have witnessed many benefits for people with disabilities, including increased body strength, endurance, and coordination. GREAT Equine Assisted Services also encourages independent decision making, relieves stress and anxiety, provides new challenges, and improves confidence. These proven outcomes of the program not only benefit the person with disabilities, but their family and our community.
