Presented by Lacawac Sanctuary Foundation

Fall Foliage Hike 2026

Registration ends Friday, 10/16/2026 11:59pm EDT

About This Event

Immerse yourself in the vibrant colors and earthy scents of autumn on our Fall Foliage Hike. Join an environmental educator for a relaxing mid-morning hike through the picturesque trails of Lacawac, where we'll take in the sights and sounds of the changing season. As we walk, we'll identify trees adorned in their bright fall foliage and listen to the natural chorus of autumn. This intermediate-level hike will go along our "Big Lake Trail" where we'll stop at Lake Wallenpaupack and is perfect for nature lovers of all ages. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking for a peaceful way to enjoy the season, this program offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature.

While many of our programs and hikes are offered free of charge, Lacawac Sanctuary is a nonprofit organization that relies on donations to make this programming possible. If you are able, please consider adding even a small donation when you register to help support our environmental education efforts.
Note: Please meet at the William E. Chatlos Environmental Education Center.
