Nature’s Pathways to Well-Being: Why It Works, and How to Experience It

Registration ends Friday, 05/08/2026 4:59pm EDT

About This Event

Join us for Nature’s Pathways to Well-being with John Harvey on Saturday, May 9, 2026 (10–11 AM) at Lacawac Sanctuary. Drawing from scientific research and lived experience, this program explores the wide-ranging benefits of time in nature—supporting physical health, emotional balance, cognitive clarity, and spiritual well-being. John will also unpack how nature creates these effects, and why understanding the “why” can actually deepen the benefits.

We’ll wrap up by exploring practical, approachable ways to bring more nature into your life—from simple green views, to sensory-focused walks, to mindfulness-building sit spots you can return to again and again.

While many of our programs and hikes are offered free of charge, Lacawac Sanctuary is a nonprofit organization that relies on donations to make this programming possible. If you are able, please consider adding even a small donation when you register to help support our environmental education efforts. Donations from this event will go towards Browning Beaver Meadow Sanctuary.
