About This Event

For more than seven decades, Park Lawn’s Oak Lawn building has been a place where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities find purpose, friendship, and a sense of belonging. Within these walls, countless lives have been shaped — and countless families have found comfort knowing their loved ones have a safe, caring place to learn, work, and grow.

Now, it’s time to turn the page.

Our beloved legacy building in Oak Lawn — built in the 1960s — has served us well, but its age now stands in the way of accessibility, comfort, and safety. Narrow doorways, outdated facilities, and worn infrastructure make it increasingly difficult for our participants and staff to move forward with ease.

That’s why we’re inviting you to be part of the next chapter in Park Lawn’s story — a chapter defined by renewal, inclusion, and possibility.

Your gift to the Park Lawn Capital Campaign for the Renovation of Our Legacy Building will help us:

  • Create accessible entrances, restrooms, and hallways for all individuals.
  • Update classrooms and program areas with safe, functional, and inspiring environments.
  • Improve energy efficiency and safety systems throughout the building.
  • Preserve the historical character of this beloved site while making it welcoming for decades to come.

This renovation is more than a construction project — it’s a promise to our participants, families, and community that Park Lawn will continue to be a place of belonging for generations to come.

We invite you to be part of this transformation. Your tax-deductible gift — whether $50, $500, or $5,000 — will directly impact the lives of individuals who depend on Park Lawn every day.

This year, we are thankful to South Holland Metal Finishing for offering a matching gift of up to $25K and to a longtime anonymous friend of Park Lawn, who is providing a matching gift of up to $5K.

When you give, you help us write the next chapter — one where every door opens, every voice is heard, and every person can thrive.

Please join us in turning the page toward a more inclusive tomorrow.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Park Lawn Association

P.S. Turning the page starts with you. Your generosity ensures that Park Lawn’s story continues — one filled with hope, accessibility, and opportunity for all.
