Join us on May 16 from 1–4 PM for a hands-on day of impact in South Park as we plant 100 native trees and help grow a healthier, more resilient park. Together, we’ll take meaningful action to support the Allegheny County Parks Foundation’s mission to improve, conserve and restore our shared green spaces.
This family-friendly planting offers a unique opportunity for those ready to roll up their sleeves and embrace a challenge. In partnership with the Allegheny County Park Rangers, volunteers will hike approximately a quarter mile to reach the planting site near the air model field, carrying tools along the way. Once there, you’ll help transport trees up the hillside and into the ground—making a lasting difference, one tree at a time.
If you’re looking for a rewarding, active way to give back to your parks, this experience is for you. Registration opens March 16th!
Directly following the event, all volunteers and members of the public are invited to Pour at the Park, our annual fundraising event featuring local brews and bites.
