About This Event
The Arc of Loudoun's Ally Advocacy Center is hosting its next Pathways to the Community session on Friday, December 12, from 9:30am - 2:30pm!
This free event is for adults 18+. Please register participants individually.
AGENDA
9:30 am to 11:00 am: Session 1- Create Simple, Healthy Meals
Join VCE Nutrition Educator, Emily, in this hands-on class to learn more about planning and preparing healthy meals. During this class, you will be preparing two easy low-cook and no-cook recipes.
11:15 am: Lunch provided by The Arc of Loudoun
12:00 pm to 2:30 pm: SESSION 2- Art Therapy Workshop
Join art instructor and art therapist Huyen MacMichael to reduce stress by making art. We will learn to explore and play with art materials and create a picture to take home. We will start with an activity and end with open studio or free art-making time. Art-making can be messy so please don't dress up for us- you can bring an apron or a shirt to use to cover your clothes.
The Arc of Loudoun strives to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including people with disabilities, to engage fully. Anyone who requires a reasonable accommodation for any type of disability or needs language assistance in order to participate in this event should contact Eileen Shaffer at eshaffer@thearcofloudoun.org.
