Patrick's 1,000 km Challenge

This year for Multiply 2025, I am cycling 1,000 km (620 miles) from July 1 - August 31 (10 miles/day for 62 days avg) to help raise money for Bridging the Gap.

Bridging the Gap is the nonprofit that serves our community through 2 main programs: (1) the Backpack Program which is projecting to supply 150 students at Old Town Elementary School with 4 meals per weekend for the 2025/2026 school year and (2) the Inspiring Hope Learning Center which is a holistic afterschool program meeting the social, educational and spiritual needs of students in our community. You can read more about them both here. https://www.bridgeschurch.net/collections/bridging-the-gap

Both of these programs are near and dear to my heart as I volunteer for both and have grown to love the students, their families and this community. I beleive that this is part of my calling in serving here where God has brought us.

I am doing this challenge with my good friend, Doug McIntyre, and our challenge within the challenge is to do a 100 miler on the New River Trail near the end of July along with other challenges.

Look for daily posts on Facebook or contact me for more info - patrickhnorris@gmail.com. Would love to hear from you if you want to set up your own cycling challenge or join in on a training ride.

Thank you for your support and God bless.
