Forty years ago, members of the Pueblo community saw a need that would forever change how child abuse cases were handled in Colorado.
In a time when victims were often retraumatized by fragmented investigations, they envisioned a new approach-one centered on compassion, coordination and healing. This vision became the Pueblo Child Advocacy Center-first in Colorado and sixth in the nation.
