We started Swing for the Stars: Play for Gigi to honor someone who meant the world to us. Gigi Ambrosio was more than a friend - she was one of the strongest and sweetest people we knew. Her kindness, courage and heart inspired everyone around her and continue to inspire us every day.
This event helps us keep Gigi's memory alive by raising money and awareness for Pediatric Cancer Foundation, and supporting the fight against childhood cancer. We carry Gigi with us both on and off the field, which is why today is a special day for her friends and family to celebrate her life.

Pediatric Cancer Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization that raises funds for groundbreaking research and early phase clinical trials to eradicate childhood cancer. These trials are conducted by world renowned doctors at the hospitals we support.
In the past 55 years, Pediatric Cancer Foundation has distributed over $20 million dollars to doctors and researchers who have been instrumental in increasing the cure rate for pediatric cancer from 58% in 1970 to over 80% today! Pediatric Cancer Foundation currently supports several promising projects at leading research hospitals.
