People Over Projects

An Evening Supporting Clean Water, Leadership, and Community

For many years, we have had the privilege of supporting Leadership Mission International and getting to know the remarkable women who come through its leadership program in Honduras.

This year, we are inviting our friends and community to join us around a very tangible need: safe, reliable water for LMI’s residential campus.

Leadership Mission International operates a residential leadership center in rural Honduras, where young women from communities across the country live, learn, and prepare to become leaders, entrepreneurs, and agents of change. But the campus currently relies on a water system that does not provide reliable purification or treatment.

LMI is now working toward a long-term solution: a campus-wide purified water system that will provide safe water for the students, staff, and community members who call the campus home.

The Need

A recent technical assessment identified a path toward installing a sustainable campus-wide water purification system. Altogether, LMI anticipates an investment of approximately $100,000 to secure the water source and establish a reliable, sustainable water system for the campus.

This is infrastructure, but its impact is ultimately about people.

Reliable access to safe water allows students to focus on their education, staff to operate the campus safely, and LMI to continue preparing women to lead change in communities throughout Honduras.

What You'll Experience

During the evening, you'll:

  • Learn about the water challenges currently facing LMI’s campus and the proposed solution.

  • Hear stories from the women whose lives and communities have been impacted by LMI.

  • Learn how LMI combines leadership development with practical investments that make its residential program possible.

  • Discover ways you can help make safe, sustainable water a reality for the campus.

Why People Over Projects?

We believe projects matter most when they strengthen the people and communities they are intended to serve.

A water purification system is not the end goal. It is part of creating a safe and sustainable environment where young women can learn, grow, and prepare to lead.

Today, more than 200 LMI graduates are working, studying, building businesses, mentoring others, and leading initiatives in communities across Honduras.

Investing in the infrastructure that supports their education means investing in what they will go on to build long after they leave campus.

Join Us

We hope you'll join us for an evening of conversation, stories, and community as we work toward an ambitious but essential goal: bringing safe, reliable water to Leadership Mission International’s campus.

Together, we can help build the foundation that allows the next generation of women leaders to thrive.
