Annual Photography Permit

Portrait Photography

McCoy requires an annual permit for any type of commercial photography on the grounds. Examples include family portraits, landscape photography, architecture photography, and wildlife photography. 

The grounds are open to the public every day from dawn to dusk, but private event rentals occasionally limit access to a specific area. There are no outdoor photography appointments, but photographers are always welcome to email photography@mccoywalden.org for information about a potential date. 

The permit is valid from January 1 – December 31 of a calendar year and comes with a badge to wear while working on the grounds. The fees are used to maintain and improve the historic buildings, gardens, and grounds. 

House Interior Photography

We allow photography inside the Bachman-McCoy House with advanced registration and for an additional fee of $100. Contact us by email at photography@mccoywalden.org to book a session.

Commercial Photography

All commercial filming requires permission, and rates vary by the scale of the project. Please contact us for more information.
