About This Event
Did you know there are different ways to give to Friends University? Creative giving tools can help us become even more generous than we thought possible, no matter the income level and age. Led by Everence Stewardship Consultant, Lyle Miller, this 45-minute session will explore many tools for strategic generosity.
Join us on July 10, 2026, from 12:30pm to 2:00pm in the Casado Campus Center!
Lunch will be provided. This event is completely free. Registration is requested.
Lyle Miller serves as an Everence® Stewardship Consultant. He is passionate about nurturing faith formation through financial stewardship, which he defines as the spiritual practices of money management and generosity.
In his role, Lyle supports congregations in their financial stewardship ministry, nonprofit organizations in their fundraising activities, and individuals in their desires to be generous. He primarily serves congregations in the Midwest, Great Plains and New England states, and is based out of the Everence corporate office in Goshen, Indiana.
Before joining Everence, Lyle served on the pastoral team at Waterford Mennonite Church in Goshen for more than eight years, most recently as Pastor of Family Life and Financial Stewardship. Prior to that, he was a college administrator and coach.
A native of Kalona, Iowa, Lyle graduated from Iowa Mennonite School (now called Hillcrest Academy) and Goshen College, before earning a Master of Divinity degree from Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Indiana, in 2014. He is a licensed and ordained minister. Lyle and his wife, Bonnie, have two adult sons. Lyle is an avid Minnesota Twins and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. He enjoys riding his recumbent tandem trike with Bonnie and cooking (and eating) barbeque.
“I am a teacher at heart,” Lyle said. “Having a healthy relationship with money has been transformative in my own journey, and so I am passionate about helping others use the resources entrusted to them in ways that serve their own and kingdom goals.”
