A "Point" 5K? Yep! It's a (Point) 5 K run/ walk fundraiser to benefit the annual fund of the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley. The Point 5k is a grand total of 1,640 feet (0.5K) and is a fun family event that everyone can enjoy. There is no type-o. We really mean just 1,640 feet! (It’s just a little longer in distance than the Empire State Building is tall.
It's a nice walk around the pond at White House Fruit Farm) Why participate? Because up to 186 men, women and children seek a safe place to sleep at our homeless shelter each night and hundreds visit us for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Your support makes a difference, and who doesn't love a morning at White House Fruit Farm?
Because of the generosity of our sponsors and event donors, registration cost is extremely low to encourage families to participate. Just $5 per person. Fun elements are included like a donut stop at the half way mark, complimentary beverages, a selfie station, oval point 5K car decals (like pictured above), race bibs, and more fun.
