About This Event

The Georgia Board of Health Care Workforce (GBHCW) Practice Opportunity Fair is returning, and The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) is one of the hosting sites!

The Georgia Board of Health Care Workforce cosponsors a job fair each year in conjunction with Georgia-based graduate medical education programs to link resident physicians with employment opportunities around the state.

“We hope this event provides these up-and-coming physicians the opportunity to connect with hospitals scattered throughout the state,” said Terri McFadden, M.D., the Board's chairperson. “Since several of the hospitals and clinics participating are from rural areas, this event aligns with the Board’s mission to support medical education programming that encourages doctors to practice in medically underserved communities.”

Additional Information

Exhibitors must be recruiting for practice opportunities in Georgia and cannot be for-profit recruiters or recruitment companies. Exhibitors will be provided with a 6” x 2” table and two chairs as display space. Small vertical banners are allowed as long as they do not interfere with another exhibitor’s display space. Please ensure that all materials will fit within your space, or you may be asked to take them down.

Also, due to space constructions, please limit the number of individuals at your booth to two people at a time.

Staff from the Graduate Medical Education Office and Georgia Board of Health Care Workforce will be available for any questions.

Exhibitors may begin setting up their displays at 10:00 am.

Gifts and Giveaways

Exhibitors may offer individual booth awards to residents who register at their booths.

Event Parking

Temporary parking is available at ED Commons. Four spaces will be reserved in the loading dock area for loading and unloading, with an additional six parking spaces at ED Commons. These spots will be clearly marked with signage.

Exhibitors are encouraged to park in Lot 61 and use the ParkMobile app (attached in the email). From there, it is a 10-minute walk or you may take the Gold Shuttle. The shuttle operates from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The shuttle visits each stop every 15 minutes. If using the shuttle, get off at the Goss Lane stop near the crosswalk at the ED Commons building.

Cancellation Policy

By submitting the registration materials for the practice opportunity fairs, Exhibitors are committing to attending and exhibiting for the duration of the event(s). If, for some reason, exhibitors are unable to attend after submission of the registration materials, written notice must be received by the GBHCW 14 days before the event, in which case one-half of the registration fee is refundable.
