Rebekah Weigel holds a MA in Psychology from Pepperdine University and is a foster and adoptive mother of five. She serves as a National child advocate, working to mobilize faith communities to meet critical needs within the child welfare system. An award-winning writer and producer, Rebekah is dedicated to using storytelling as a catalyst for meaningful social change.
As the writer and producer of Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot, she helped bring national attention to the power of faith and community in transforming the lives of children in foster care. The film has inspireda growing movement to support vulnerable children and families across the country and around the world. Through both media and advocacy, she remains committed to championing stories that foster hope, mobilize communities, and create lasting impact.
