About This Event
Since 1996, The Kids Are Worth It!® Conference has brought together people from across Kentucky who are committed to preventing child abuse and strengthening families. In those early years, we passed handwritten notes, dial-up internet was still loading, and Thursday nights were reserved for the show, Friends. While trends may change, one thing has remained constant: change happens when people gather to learn from one another to move prevention upstream. For thirty years, the Conference has served as a catalyst that moves prevention work forward across the Commonwealth.
Each year, medical providers, mental health professionals, law enforcement officers, child advocates, foster parents, educators, and community leaders come together to explore emerging research, refine best practices, and strengthen cross-system collaboration. The conversations that take place during the Conference continue long after it ends, shaping programs, policies, and practices in communities throughout Kentucky. Participants leave with practical tools and meaningful relationships that directly impact how children and families are supported.
