FASD Advocacy Day at the Capitol 2025

About This Event

Join us for the annual Proof Alliance FASD Advocacy Day at the Minnesota State Capitol on April 3, 2025 at 9am! This event is an opportunity to gather as a community, share personal stories to educate legislators, and influence decision-makers. 

What is Proof Alliance's policy priority this session? 

Proof Alliance has successfully secured a funding increase for prevention of prenatal alcohol exposure in recent years, but the base budget that supports the bulk of FASD programs has not received an increase in over a decade. Now is the time to advocate for legislation HF 1984/ SF 1997 which will support:   

  • Increase family support services and resource navigation to underserved regions of the state
  • Expand FASD training and professional development for teachers, social service providers, health care providers and caregivers 
  • Implement a community-powered program model to expand reach and utilize volunteers, experienced caregivers and professionals to provide FASD training and support
