Celebrate Women's History Month with the Utah Historical Society. Come see how the past is woven into the present and stitch a tribute to those that have come before. In this embroidery basics class, we will bring historic photos from the Peoples of Utah Revisited collection to life through thread and learn a bit about some of the Utah women who have come before us.
You’ll learn beginner-friendly stitches and be able to receive hands on help as you bring your photos to life with color. All supplies and light refreshments will be provided. This event is free, but registration is required.
This event is provided free in part by funding recieved from By the People. By the People: Conversations Beyond 250 is a series of community-driven programs created by humanities councils across the United States, its territories, and the District of Columbia in collaboration with local partners. Together, these programs explore 250 years of the nation's cultural life and imagine its shared future. The initiative was developed by the Federation of State Humanities Councils and the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage as a complement to the 2026 Smithsonian Folklife Festival.
