Cheers to beers and floppy ears! 

Gather your crew and join us for an extra special day of good brews for a good cause! Born from our much-loved monthly Pints for Pets series, the Kitsap Humane Society Pup Crawl is a half-day extravaganza showcasing some of Bremerton's best bars and breweries. The free-style downtown crawl runs from 2-6pm and you are welcome to start and end at the location of your choosing. Stops include: Ashley's Pub, Bremerton Bar and Grill, Dog Days Brewing, Hale's Ales Barrelhouse, Horse and Cow Pub and Grill, and Shenanigans Pub and Grill! Openening hours vary by location. See location details below to help plan your route! 

Each partnering location has agreed to donate a portion of their sales during the event directly to KHS and many will be offering specials for crawlers. Just like our Pints for Pets, every pint sold during the event supports our shelter pets. Crawlers who successfully grab a pint at 4 out of 6 partner locations will receive a commemorative pint glass! 

But the fun doesn't end there! Celebrate a successful crawl by joining us at our after party from 6-8pm hosted by Hale's Ales Barrelhouse. We'll have a fabulolus raffle drawing, live music from local Irish band, Wind in the Heather, food from Ben's Tiny Kitchen, and dare we say, even more great brews! Come together to celebrate and raise a toast to the shelter animals that your participation has helped support. 

This event is for 21+ participants only. A valid ID must be presented at check in. Please drink responsibly. 

Drink responsibly and avoid the hassle of downtown parking by hopping aboard the official Pup Crawl shuttle, courtesy of Hale's Ales! Hale's has generously donated their famous double decker bus to shuttle participants for the event. Leave your car near Hale's Barrelhouse located at 1509 N Wycoff Ave, Bremerton, WA 98312 and shuttle to downtown and back in style.

Shuttle service from the Barrelhouse to downtown will run from 1:30-3pm. Shuttle service back to the Barrelhouse for the after party will run from 5:30-7pm with pick up location TBD.

Registration packets can be picked up starting April 13  from the Kitsap Humane Society Annex located at 9167 Dickey Road NW, Silverdale WA 98383. The Annex building is the tan building located to the immediate left of the new Pet Adoption Center. Stop in Monday-Friday between the hours of 9am-4pm and ask for Gina or Amanda to pick up your packet.  

Day of packet pick up and registration will be at Hale's Ales Barrelhouse from 1-2pm. KHS event staff will be on site to hand out packets and sign up last minute crawl participants. 

Kitsap Humane Society started as a small, volunteer-led rescue organization in 1908 and has been fondly referred to as "the little shelter that could". Members of the organization worked tirelessly to curb the ever-increasing problem of stray and abandoned animals in the county. After nearly ceasing to exist following World War II, Kitsap Humane Society was reinvigorated in 1961 by co-founder Almeda Harris Wilson who helped forge a lasting relationship with Kitsap County officials. 

Today, Kitsap Humane takes in over 6,000 animals annually, with over 1,000 of those being animals that have been transferred in from overcrowded and underfunded shelters across the western US. The shelter spays and neuters over 5,000 animals each year, around a third of which are owned animals through our low-cost spay/neuter program. Kitsap Humane also runs community support programs like the Pet Food Pantry and the Pet Protection Progam. 

Kitsap Humane Society is dedicated to our mission of finding a home for every adoptable animal, no matter the hurdles along the way. Thanks to the tremendous support of our community and the intense dedication of our staff and volunteers, Kitsap Humane has maintained a 94% or greater lifesaving rate for the last decade.
