Focus on the Local: Environmental Workshop for Midsouth Educators

Jointly hosted by Wolf River Conservancy and Memphis Botanic Garden, this educator workshop offers information and related activities on local environmental issues from the Wolf River Conservancy, Clean Memphis, CAESER, and Republic Services.  Learn about the Wolf River and using the Wolf River Greenway as an outdoor classroom, as well as the Memphis Sand Aquifer, water quality, watersheds, local landfills and recycling, and biodiversity. 

Besides information to help you and your students understand the environment here in the Midsouth, you will participate in related elementary/middle school level activities for students, and receive a certificate of completion for this 6-hr workshop, in addition to lunch.  You will also have a chance to win one or more free educational items to take with you!
