Safe Harbors 2026 Gala
SUPERNATURAL
A Garden Party on the Green
Thursday, September 17 at 6pm
Join us as we gather for a SUPERNATURAL garden party on the Green, featuring fresh new public artwork, live music, a silent auction, delicious food, and delightful company to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Safe Harbors Green.
In the summer of 2016, Safe Harbors transformed a vacant lot at the corner of Broadway and Liberty Street into a vibrant, biodynamic half-acre park. A decade later, the Green is an enduring testament to Safe Harbors’ commitment to revitalizing downtown Newburgh with innovative development projects that prioritize community care, sustainability, and responsible stewardship.
At the gala we will honor our 2026 Cornerstone of the Community Bryan Quinn, designer of Safe Harbors Green. We will also recognize our Safe Harbors Green Stewardship Partner, Resorts World Hudson Valley, as well as the many community members and partners who helped bring the lot to life in 2016.
The dress code for the event is Floral & Funky. Let the supernatural beauty of Mother Nature be your guide and come ready for a festive evening to celebrate (horti)culture and community!
Individual Tickets are $175
Increases to $200 on September 1

About Safe Harbors Green
Located at the corner of Broadway and Liberty in the heart of Downtown Newburgh, Safe Harbors Green is a vibrant, half-acre urban park. In 2016, Safe Harbors transformed this formerly vacant lot into a fully accessible, multitiered landscape of biodiversity, sustainable design, and community.
Designed by artist and applied ecologist Bryan Quinn of One Nature, the Green embodies Safe Harbors’ commitment to sustainability and stewardship, featuring solar lighting, rainwater gardens and bioswales that keep runoff from the park and our building out of the Newburgh sewer system, and over 50 native plant species that support and attract pollinators.
The Green is both a tranquil, natural oasis and a vital center of our Newburgh community, offering spaces for reflection and passive enjoyment while hosting a wide array of cultural and community events throughout the year—from Safe Harbors’ own programs like Salsa Under the Stars and the Ritz Kidz Circus, to the weekly Newburgh Farmers’ Market, to the City of Newburgh Film Festival and much more.
