Food Rescue US - Fairfield County, CT disrupts the cycle of food waste by directing nutritious, surplus food to those in need. Using technology and a dedicated network of volunteers, we coordinate over 400 food rescues each week—every day of the year. Our food donors range from grocery stores and schools to corporate cafeterias, farmers’ markets, and more.
Beyond daily rescues, we organize bulk food distributions, support community fridges, and run Sprout & Share, a neighborhood garden share program. We’re deeply involved in local efforts that promote environmental sustainability, food justice, and equitable food access—raising awareness and building connections through community events and coalitions.
