Stitching Revolution in Massachusetts: Lectures Series & 18th Century Dancing

About This Event

Date: Saturday, June 28th and Sunday, June 29th all day

Location: Village Hall on the Common, 2 Oak St. Framingham

Generously funded by MA250, Stitching Revolution in Massachusetts is a hands-on celebration of the Bay State’s pivotal role in the American Revolution—blending history, creativity, and community.

Throughout the weekend, participants will design and sew quilt squares for a collaborative project inspired by Revolutionary themes while engaging with insightful talks from expert guest lecturers.

On Saturday, join us for an enchanting evening of traditional 18th-century dancing at the historic Village Hall on the Common. Enjoy live, period-appropriate music and dance just as they did in the 1700s. Each dance is taught by a caller and is easy enough for everyone to enjoy. It’s a unique chance to step back in time in this beautifully preserved historic setting.

Period attire is encouraged but not required. Refreshments will be served.
