Frosty Foothills Guided Hike

Registration is closed

About This Event

*Registration opens November 29th at 8am*

Wander in a wonderland of bare branches and blue skies at Rana Creek Preserve and explore the first frosty signs of winter on the Wildflower Meadow Loop trail.

This is a moderately-strenuous guided hike along the Wildflower Meadow Loop Trail with some climbing through the eastern foothills of the preserve near Agua Mala Creek. The hike is about 4 miles in length and includes a 500 ft elevation gain through various oak habitats. Much of the trail is undeveloped and traverses rough, with uneven terrain and occasional steep inclines, yielding outstanding views. Ticks and poison oak are present in some sections. Each participant should be self sufficient and reasonably fit for this activity. Proper footwear and walking sticks are recommended. Bathrooms will only be available at the Conference Center before and after hike.

Reservations are required.
