Read more about Reach Counseling Services

Healing Lives. Transforming Communities.

Reach Counseling is a sexual assault service provider offering trauma-informed care for children and adults across Winnebago, Outagamie, and Calumet Counties. As an anti-violence agency, we provide culturally responsive outreach, prevention education, victim advocacy, trauma counseling, and sex offender treatment—working every day to heal lives and transform communities.

Founded in 1976, Reach has grown from a small response team into a licensed outpatient mental health clinic offering a full continuum of care. Our systemic approach includes prevention, response, and treatment—serving thousands of individuals and families each year.

We envision a socially just community that prioritizes and empowers healing for all impacted by sexual violence. Your Giving Tuesday gift helps us continue this vital work—providing safe spaces, expert care, and hope for survivors.

Together, we can break cycles of violence and build pathways to healing.

Advocacy Program Mission Moment

Jasmine, a 16-year-old, sought medical care after experiencing sexual assault. She arrived at the hospital with her mother, both navigating an unfamiliar and emotionally overwhelming process. Jasmine showed immense courage in choosing to participate in the exam and take initial steps toward healing, even as the experience felt daunting.

During the hospital visit, our advocate met with Jasmine and her mother to walk through what to expect—not just in that moment, but also in the days and weeks ahead. Jasmine was quiet, taking time to process. Rather than rush that process, our role was simply to be present, to offer options, and to respond when she was ready.

While Jasmine continued to process on her own terms, her mother leaned into support—asking questions, seeking resources, and wanting to show up more fully for her daughter. With her consent, we helped connect Jasmine to therapy services and coordinated a crisis counseling appointment for her mom.

When Jasmine chose to make a police report, she invited our advocate to be there. She bravely shared her story with law enforcement, and we offered emotional support and grounding tools during the interview. We also offered to meet her at school in the future if she ever wants additional advocacy.

This case reflects the full spectrum of our advocacy services: crisis intervention at the hospital, legal support during reporting, and continued personal advocacy rooted in compassion and respect. As Jasmine's case moves forward through the court system, we’ll continue to be available—to offer legal advocacy, check in on her well-being, and support her connection to therapy. Our role is not to lead her journey, but to walk alongside her and her family every step of the way.
